0.3 — Stillspace: The Hidden Medium

All rhythms need a stage. All motion needs somewhere to happen. Stillspace is that place — the silent medium that allows everything to move without moving itself.

Definition
In RRM, Stillspace is the universal, massless, frictionless substrate where every motion and structure occurs. It has no energy of its own, no built-in shape, but it can carry the ordered patterns of any rhythm impressed upon it. Stillspace is made divisible by Etherons — the smallest units of rhythmic identity. When a rhythm aligns Etherons into a coherent arrangement, that pattern can persist and propagate without decay, allowing motion to travel without a material carrier.

Properties

  • Massless — adds no weight, carries no inertia.

  • Frictionless — lets a rhythm travel without loss unless something interferes.

  • Structureless — remains undefined until a rhythm gives it form.

  • Omnipresent — without boundary, without displacement.

  • Coherence-capable — can hold a pattern as long as that pattern sustains itself.

Why It Is Hidden
Stillspace leaves no mark unless something moves through it. It cannot be seen directly — only traced through the paths and shapes of the rhythms it carries. Like the surface of calm water, it appears only when disturbed.

Its Role in RRM
Stillspace is the medium in which all influence fields take shape — coherence gradients impressed into it by rhythmic structures. It lets light travel without a physical carrier. It lets gravitational and magnetic flows persist across emptiness. It is as present in the path of a photon as it is in the arc of a galaxy.

You cannot touch Stillspace. But you can feel it in motion, every time a pattern holds.
