1.1 Stillspace — The Medium That Doesn’t Move
Opening Statement
Stillspace is the silent ground beneath every pattern — the medium that does not move, yet allows all movement.
Definition
In RRM, Stillspace is a universal, frictionless, massless substrate that permits rhythm to propagate without resistance or loss. It contains no inherent energy or structure until rhythm is impressed upon it, at which point it carries the coherence pattern without altering its own nature.
Properties
Massless — It has no weight or inertia.
Frictionless — Rhythm passes through it without decay.
Structureless — Shape exists only where rhythm defines it.
Omnipresent — Extends everywhere without displacement.
Rhythm-Capable — Can carry structured motion indefinitely.
Role in RRM
Serves as the canvas upon which all rhythmic structures are formed.
Allows fields to exist as coherence gradients impressed into its medium.
Supports the persistence of rhythms such as light, gravity, and magnetism.
Pathways for Depth
For the smallest points of pattern in Stillspace, see (1.3 Etherons).
For how rhythm defines structure within it, see (1.5 Closure & Coherence).
For experimental evidence of its properties, see (6.3 Dynamical Casimir Effect).
Echo Lines
Stillspace does not move — it lets movement happen.
Nothing resists rhythm. Everything resists losing it.
