2.4 Magnetism — Spiral Rhythm Impressions
Opening Statement
Magnetism is the organized circulation of fluid-phase rhythmic energy within a structure’s influence field, shaping spiral patterns that extend outward and interact with other fields.
Definition
In RRM, magnetism is a sustained and directional flow of liquid-phase Etherons that curves into closed loops under the influence of spin or internal circulation. These loops imprint spiral phase patterns into the surrounding field, enabling structured interaction with other magnetic systems.
Core Mechanics
Fluid-phase Etherons are ejected from one region and collapse inward toward another.
Spin or flow geometry biases these collapse paths into curved trajectories.
Curved flows reconnect to form continuous closed loops, sustaining the magnetic field.
Circulation in a uniform medium like Stillspace occurs as continuous phase propagation — medium transitions require re-establishing the field pattern in the new medium.
Relation to Charge
Magnetism is a dynamic form of charge geometry, where phase alignment determines interaction: complementary loops attract, opposed loops repel.
Relation to Speed Limits
Changes in a magnetic field propagate through Stillspace at the medium’s maximum coherence transfer rate — for naturally occurring rhythms, this corresponds to the speed of light (2.6 Speed of Light). However, engineered coherence dynamics (2.6.1 Beyond the Boundary) could, in principle, alter magnetic field propagation speed beyond this natural limit without violating RRM principles.
Role in RRM
Demonstrates that charge patterns can be dynamic and circulating rather than static.
Links magnetic field stability to anchor strength and rhythmic efficiency.
Forms large-scale protective structures like planetary magnetospheres.

Echo Lines
Magnetism is a current in the sea of Stillspace.
Its loops are the memory of motion, written in the medium.
